Thomas Hedges is a freelance photographer, videographer and writer based out of New York/New Jersey. He has a BA in English from Colgate University and an MA in French History from Columbia University in Paris. He has lead backpacking, canoeing, whitewater kayaking and sailing wilderness trips for the Chewonki Foundation and Alford Lake Camp, including a two-month-long trek across the Maine and New Hampshire portion of the Appalachian Trail. He currently works as a photography instructor at Princeton Photo Workshop. He has written and produced video content for The Guardian, Salon, Demos, The Nation, NowThis, Brut. Media, Thrillist, UFC and CBS. He has also done commercial work for New Belgium Brewing Company, Wood Partners LLC and GitHub Inc. In May of 2021, his short documentary about a drag queen in Baltimore called The Filthiest People Alive was shown at the Maryland Film Festival. He cooks to relax and loves finding new perspectives.
